February 7th - 14th

I honestly never though gas prices would get below $2.00/gallon, but it has happened.  It's bittersweet because one of my friends works in the oil field and the drop in prices hurts, but it has been nice on our budget.

Morgan took a couple pictures today of me and Rylea girl.  I'm trying not to be so camera shy these days because I want my kids to be able to look back and remember that I was there with them.  :)

Logan took a picture of us on the couch a while back, I didn't have the heart to delete it because he was so excited to take a picture for the yearbook.  We'll have to do a little photography in the future before I hand over all the picture taking reigns.
Logan is very creative in the garage.  He loves to build things out of anything and everything.  He pulled his train care all around our cul de sac while giving Jaron a ride.  It was pretty cool.
On my latest trip to Walmart Jaron was really good, so I let him have my change from groceries and he wanted to go to the quarter machine place and blew it on the carousel.  He loved it, so I guess it was worth the .50.
Rylea loves to dip her food in any sauce, but is partial to ranch.  I gave her the rest of what was on my plate and she proceeded to lick the plate clean....literally!  I'm just glad I can count on several vegetables that she will eat.

We went to the park for a picnic with some friends.  Rylea kept swiping everyone's oreos.  I've never seen that girl put a cookie in her mouth so fast and run away.
Logan loves scouts and I'm glad he's having a good time.  They went to the fire station and the leaders sent us some of the pictures.  I'm so grateful for good cub scout leaders!

A craft I made for the shop.  I'll have to eventually get some new pictures since there are some doubles of Jaron and Tragon, I will do that once it's not up in the shop anymore.  :)

This Saturday was Tragon's choice for activity, so earlier in the day I took a few of them to quarter machine mecca - Tragon LOVES quarter machines--then we went to the park for a little outing.  I'm glad my kids all like being outside and I'm loving the weather right now too.

Rylea loves to wander and run and loves stairs!

We had a youth fundraiser Valentine's Day dinner for our ward.  It was fun to go on a little date with my hubby.  I love him so much!

This year we also had wrestling time, and for the most part it ended with everyone still happy.  We also started a new tradition...well, I decided it was going to be a new tradition.  Instead of getting a whole bunch of candy and junk we decided to make Valentine's Cards for everyone in the family.  Each person wrote something they loved about each family member and then we got to keep our card that everyone wrote in.  It was fun to see what the boys came up with.  I love my family!!  Until next time.....

February 1st - 7th

I guess it was a busy week because most of the pictures were from Saturday.  Morgan saw a really awesome car and couldn't help taking a picture of it.
Saturday we had the opportunity to go to Lincoln's baptism.  It was a so special.  We are so blessed to have such amazing families.  The kids were a little crazy, we had to sit for quite a while and there were times I wanted to take a couple of them out, but overall they were pretty good.
Logan was totally photo-bombing Rylea's pictures.
She's been keeping her headbands on a little longer now, she calls them "prettys"  Probably because everytime we put one on we tell her how pretty she is.  :)

Jaron was a wiggly worm, I'm a little nervous for actual church today, I hope they can find the strength to make it through another meeting.  It was a good experience though and it was so awesome to see Lincoln make that decision, he's such an awesome kid.  I'm glad he's my nephew.  After the baptism we went to their clubhouse and had lunch, it was delicious and then for our family activity it was Jaron's turn to choose and he wanted to go to the park, so we headed to the Sunflower Park.

Quick, insert of pictures out of order, Rylea loves gum, she only bites it for a second then spits it out, but she will go through a whole pack in just a few minutes.  She pushed the stool over...or one of the boys left it there, I can't remember, but she just climbed right up and found the gum.  oiy!

She was changing her baby doll the other day, she got the wipes and a diaper and was laying the baby down and getting it all ready.

Okay, back to the park.  We had to do whatever Jaron wanted and he wanted to do slides first, then we explored the secret hideout, and then came back for a little playground tag, and finally finished up in the sandbox.  All the kids had a good time...in the end, there was a little complaining here and there.  They all wanted pictures going down the fireman pole and across the monkey bars.

Jaron and Rylea love climbing up and down everything and just running around.

The secret hideout was fun, I loved seeing my boys working and playing together.  Those are the moments that I feel like they will grow up loving each other and being friends.  They are going to need each other throughout their lives I'm sure.

Rylea especially loved the sandbox.  She would make dirt piles on the sidewalk, then brush it back into the box.  Eventually she found a bucket and was filling that up and they boys were making volcanoes and tunnels.  It was a good activity.
When we got home I vacuumed the van and Morgan went for a run.  Logan went around the neighborhood selling stuff.  It that boy sees a yard sale sign, he runs to find something he can sell there too.  I think we need to start teaching him some skills he can use to create something to sell vs just finding junk toys that he somehow gets people to buy.  He's a pretty good little salesman.  The rest of the boys played in the dirt and home and then played some video games.  Overall it was a great day and we were able to do a lot as a family.  Piano is going great with the boys and all my other students.  I didn't think when I started teaching that I would end up with as many as I have, but I have found that I really love teaching piano and it helps motivate me to stay up on my skills too.  I'm so grateful for the talents and blessing the Lord has blessed me and my family with and it is so fun to be able to share those with each other and those around us.  Until next time.....

January 25th - 31st

The kids love to play with Daddy.

Instead of keeping papers throughout the year I've been taking pictures and then they make it into the yearbook instead of keeping all the paper around.  I like it and they will still be able to see some of their work in the future.  :)

Rylea fell asleep the other day on the way home.  She loves to take her shoes and socks off in the car.  I'm not quite sure how they ended up in her mouth, but that's how I found her, so I took a quick picture.  It made me laugh.
That girl's hair is wild and crazy and fluffy and hopefully someday it will grow into something manageable.  :)  In the meantime I still practice on all the nieces.
Rylea loves to be outside and that is usually her first request of the day.  I'm looking forward to the warmer weather so we can spend more time outside.  We've been trying to take a walk outside after lunch everyday, we are doing pretty good.  Sometimes it's just being outside and playing.  Either way, we all just need some good ol' sunshine everyday.

On Friday we went to the temple on a double date with my parents.  We did sealings, it was so fun and a neat experience to be there with my parents.  They are such good examples to us.  Afterwards we went out to dinner since we had a little extra time before we needed to get the kids from the babysitter.  We went to Village Inn, I think the most memorable part would be the buttermilk biscuit, I laugh just thinking about it.  Hahaha.  The food was really good, except for this brown stale looking biscuit they brought out to Morgan.  He was going to say anything, but my dad piped up and said something, so they brought him out another one...identical to the first....hahahaha.  It was a good laugh, awful biscuit, but good laugh.

On Saturday Morgan had the chance to go get his skiing fix.  He went up with the youth to Brian Head for the day.  He had a really good time, but also learned some valuable lessons, some about family and some about the buddy system.  :)

While he was gone, we had a Family Home Morning breakfast at Grandma's house.  After our lesson, and family council we were able to sneak in a couple rounds of Canasta before we all headed off to see Harlee at gymnastics meet/exhibition.  It brought back a lot of memories and made me long for the days when I could run and tumble.  I just don't know that my body will ever be able to do that again, I really would love to!  It did make me want to coach gymnastics though.  I've always thought that would be fun.  Maybe when Rylea is in school.

After the meet, my mom came over for her piano lessons.  I can't believe how much piano has boomed.  I love teaching piano and the kids I work with are great.  Right now I'm struggling with too many and trying to figure out what to do.  I'm sure I'll be able to figure it out though.  It's been such a blessing for our family right now.  Until next time....
