We're Still Alive

September 21st - 28th
Yep, we're still alive and kicking. Actually, it's been a very good week and I've realized that I can do this (though not without my exceedingly wonderful husband who has really been going the extra mile this week). We're both pretty tired, Damon makes weird noises when he sleeps; we'll only have him in our room for another week though. We decided to switch around the boys' room a little bit and put the crib closer to the door, so we had to move the beds and I think Logan will need a little bit of adjustment time and it will give Damon another week to sleep longer at night.
Both our boys have been so wonderful. Logan has been the ideal big brother and Damon is pretty content with all the noise going on around him. We even attempted our first grocery shopping trip alone while Morgan was getting some studying done. It actually went very well, although I was exhausted by the time I got home and was so glad Morgan hadn't gone up to the school yet so he could bring in the groceries. :)
It was a good transition week because Morgan had a little bit more of a flexible schedule and was able to help at night with Logan and put Logan to bed, and basically do all the Logan lifting. :) And a few mornings of the week he didn't have to leave as early so he watched the boys while I took a shower and got ready for the day, even though we still don't do much during the day. I have to say that "Cars" is my favorite movie and thing in the world right now. Logan will actually sit through the entire thing.....(yes sadly, I think we watched it almost every day this past week, but that was the only time I could really lay down or sit down and relax a little to recuperate). I also love naps and will be so sad when Logan stops taking them. When he goes down for a nap, I turn off the phones and go lay down myself--which, if you know me has actually been quite hard to do, I'm always thinking of a million other things I could be getting done while the boys are sleeping, but I think it has made a world of difference in the speed of recovery, I'm almost feeling 100%
Anyway, nothing too exciting has happened, but we did manage to get in a few pictures this week....it really is a whole lot harder to take pictures of your second, not because you don't want to, but because when the opportunity comes, you're usually running around with the older one or preventing him from getting in the toilet and other things like that. :)
I couldn't resist this picture, I think we have one almost identical with Logan posed the same way in his sleep. They're definitely brothers.
Morgan got home early one day during "family nap time" sometimes Damon will sleep longer and less restless when he's right next to me in bed.
I was getting ready one morning while Logan was watching "Cars" and he just looked so cozy and comfy and sleepy, he had just woken up, but I still had to feed Damon before I could get Logan ready. I'm not sure what the deal was with the camera on the second photo, but I think it shows a little more relaxation. :)
Just like his brother, Damon doesn't like his arms to be bundled sometimes and loves to hold on to things or just each other. Just look at that sweet little baby boy.
And lastly, Morgan was able to capture a little smile on the camera. He smiles almost every time Logan is around him and babbling. As much as I love him being a little baby, I can't wait for him to grow up a little more so the boys can play together. We have truly been blessed with two special little boys and I can't imagine it being any other way right now. :) Until next time.....

I think it is great that you are taking the time to lay down and get some relazxation yourself I think you need that as a mom. Cute little guys!

Logan does look very relaxed in those pictures. Donovan sports the same attire every morning! He wakes up all wet so I strip him down, throw him in the tub and let him run around in his diaper until we have to go somewhere or he goes down for a nap. Damon is so adorable. I am getting little twinges of baby hunger just by looking at his cute little face!
