October 23rd - 31st

While I was at Time Out For Women, Morgan surprised me by building some stand for our washer and dryer.  I love it!!  It was so thoughtful of him.

 Oh dear Tragon.  Hahahaha
For Halloween we made a Fiiz Stand for our Ward Carnival and had a sherbet float for our treat.  It was a huge hit and really fun, but it will be a long time before I got that big on Halloween.  :)
This will turn out to be one of the last camp outs that Morgan goes on with the boys.  He was called to be the Elder's Quorum Secretary not long after this.

While he was camping, we were prepping for Halloween and the Trunk or Treat, that's what the Fiiz was for, to decorate our van at the trunk or treat.  Since I'm part of the primary presidency and were were in charge of the activity, I figured I should give a little more effort.  The kids loved it.

I also had group piano lessons before our Fall Recital.  My students have worked so hard on their songs this year.  We had three days of crazy group lessons, but it was really fun.  I only remembered to take pictures on one of the days.

Probably the only picture I took from Halloween.  I don't even think I took pictures of the kids.  Logan was an FBI agent.  Damon was Darth Vader, Tragon was Jet-Vac from Skylanders, and Jaron was Bumblebee from Transformers and Rylea refused to wear her ladybug costume, so she just had a cute Halloween shirt.

 Rylea girl loves her puzzles.

She hurt her arm, and it was eventually fine.  I didn't really think anything of it until it happened again and we had to take her to the instacare....Nurse Maid Elbow, now we have to watch her arm pretty carefully, but now I know how to pop it back into place.  :)  So until next time......

Oct. 16th - 22nd

IT's December as I write this, I'm way behind, but I'm going to try and catch up before the end of the year so it's ready to publish early next year.  We love our family blog books.  It's not quite Halloween yet, but we have been getting our costumes all ready and using them.  Damon was so excited to be Darth Vader this year.  We've watch all the Star Wars movies with them recently.

Rylea didn't really like it when he had the mask on and always tried to take it off.

It was Time Out For Women this weekend. It was fabulous as always.  We were so happy that Rachel could come out with us this time.  :)  I took her to the airport early Sunday morning and there was a detour and it was crazy trying to get there, but it was fun to be in the car and visit with just her.  Usually we are surrounding by children clamoring for our attention all the time, I feel like I hardly know my sister in laws!  So it was a really fun detour ;)

I'm really excited to go back through my notes and make some good goals for 2017.  I know that I need to bring my focus in a little smaller and not try to be better at everything, but just pick a couple things.  This year as a family we have really made an effort to have family scripture study in the morning and we have done really well.  I think I would like to make a focus on our evening time family prayer, usually we are running all around and just trying to hurry and get kids to bed that we forget to take a moment to pray as a family.  That will be my number one 2017 goal as a family for sure.  I know that personally I need to work on praying more sincerely.

I wish I had more to write, but it's nice to get another week caught up on the blog. Mostly we just look at pictures anyway.  Until next time....

October 9th - 15th

Not a lot of words on this post, but a picture is worth a thousand words anyway, right?  So it would be a terribly long post if I wrote it all out.  :)

We went camping at Bryce National Park over Fall Break.  It was a blast and the kids did wonderful.

This camping trip was a million times better than the last one.  In a way it was good to have a not so great camping trip so that everything after would be so much better.  :)

I'm making a quilt sampler quilt for Logan this year, we are doing a block a month.  I hope it turns out good, it's been really fun to do.  :)

I love this family of mine.  Until our next adventure....
